PSP GO and the future of UMD ?

know I could search around like this but I am curious on this subject.

I bought a psp 2000 model, now this is not a rag on the psp go, cause I am sure it is great for some people, but I am not a consumer who enjoys paying for virtual goods, I love collecting games and just like cd's/dvd's I enjoy the complete package with artwork etc.

So what does the future have in store for UMD ? will sony release a new umd model at some point in order for existing users who want this ? or will we see a BC psp II that will play umd in the future ?

Thoughts ?
